Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm still not sure if/how I should integrate demons and other supernatural creatures into the game, since it might introduce a new element of complexity into a game that's admittedly already very complex. But then again, a lot of characters have powers that depend on summoning supernatural creatures... hm, I'll have to think about that. Maybe "demons" could be beings created by magical accidents, or especially strong concentrations of magic, or something like that. I don't really want to add in a new independent demon faction.

As for the time system, yeah, I think 1 IRL week:1 game day is really slow, too. The main draw of that is the convenience factor. How do you feel about 1 IRL month: 1 game week, though? It averages out to about 4 IRL days to 1 game day, but the entire block of 7 days would be open for play all at once, so if people do need to schedule a thread for a certain day, or if they need to have several threads occur over a period of consecutive days, they can do that. I ran a game with that kind of time system before, and it worked really well for us. But it was a prose-only game, and those tend to move a lot slower than commentspam/action games. The problem I've usually had in prose games is that there ends up being a lot of backtagging, especially in threads involving more than two players, so plot progression starts to lag behind the in-game date.
