threading out IC RP is the best thing bodyswap events has ever done to me

i played A who swapped with close CR B. A pretended to be B and convinced a bunch of mutual CR they were B, even B's castmates. Bonus points for C and D swapping. D and B are castmates, and A got C to string along so they could pretend to be B and D together

i wish more people would do this, it's the most meta thing ever and a shitload of fun.

yeah i thought a couple of posts were really gross and done to be "funny" instead of being ic. but i'm having fun with my swap and my swap partner and i are using it for stuff other than "lol boobs" so i guess it depends on the person/character.

It's sad to see a game with so much potential for plot falling back on the same tired 'crack' events like age ups/downs and body switches you can find in pretty much any other game.

ia, the old mods did more plots that werent rehashes of age old crack tropes but here's to hoping the new ones pick back up on that

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just didn't want to be That Guy complaining when everyone else is having fun. Everyone I know personally is having a blast with the events recently, but it seems kind of gimmicky to me. The events seem more like a way to facilitate random crack, rather than to progress a war.

If that's the new tone of the game, that's fine, games can change and I don't have to like it, though it's sad imo. I know the game has grown a lot and it's changed hands, so it's understandable. It would just be nice to have confirmation that this is the direction the mods want to take the game in or not.

Don't worry, it's not a new direction. These two events are something that had been in the works for a while, and it'll be getting back to normal after this.

I don't see anything wrong with having some of those once in a while. They're cliches because people like them.

If they start becoming the norm I'll start complaining, but I haven't done a bodyswap event in a game in literally years so it's pretty great.

Yeah, the timeswap event and this event really aren't my cup of tea, so I haven't really done much with either one of them, tbh. If this becomes the norm, I might raise some objections, but if people are having fun, it can be good to have some more lighthearted events sometimes.

thinking of joining so... gimme the lowdown on the game. the good aspects, the bad aspects, what new players should expect and what's expected of them, etc.

It's a huge game at first glance, but as with games of any size it depends on how social your character is and how much CR you want to build. Posts and open logs show up at a fairly steady pace so you always have something you can tag into!

I just joined last month, so this month's plot is my first big plot in the game, and I'm really enjoying it so far. The playerbase is friendly and the OCs I've seen around/interacted with so far have been wonderful.

One thing I did notice was that there weren't a lot of player plots that would involve a substantial portion of the game, but again I only joined recently so I don't know if it's just an off-month or not.
