rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. I judge people by their icons even though I've played with great players who have awful icons. I can't help it.

Arya just put a post up today so maybe you could hit that up or something? I know I am!! :D I agree though, I wish they were more active.

Yes and thank you! There's not a whole lot of icons for anyone far as my searching has gone. Even Adam is pretty low and surprising. Again thank you kind anon! :)

have you tried looking at the fanart thread on the TTLG forums? theres some gems in there thatd make for good icons too

also i love you for playing garrett, ive considered it many a time in the past but hes too similar to the other characters i play

It's his right as the professor to discount whatever you say in your email, but to bring it up and address it in front of the whole class is in exceptionally poor taste and just incredibly unprofessional.

Still, nothing will change unless you do choose to bring it up to someone higher up on the ladder, and either you don't care enough to just deal with him being a tool or you do care enough to want to have it addressed.

Though honestly I think his public reaction to getting polite "crit" as it were, is a bigger deal than whatever opinion he has on a thing and something you should focus on if you do decide to bring this to someone else's attention.

So then would characters still be able to tell those close to them? Because the the "no one would believe our story" thing doesn't work with those you trust must. Especially important because I'm pretty sure most people would feel the need to talk to someone about such a big life change as finding out you used to be someone else.

Well, sign language differs from place to place. Even city to city, sometimes. A good thing to do would be to focus on the defining characteristics of the thing your character wants to sign, like drawing their fingers across their face to show a tiger's stripes or imitating gestures associated with something.

I also recommend not explaining what she's signing.

asgardeventide has a nice ASOIAF cast! Though right now it's just Robb, Jon, and myself playing Arya! The game will be progressing it's plot this coming month so it is very much plot driven. I believe the test drive meme is still going, if you're interested in giving it a try?

I will state that everyone is from past Clash of Kings and I don't know if that will affect your interest at all (between book and tv canon). We would love to have you either way!!

Yeah, actually. I thought about that and decided that some characters would at least tell their spouse or parents or best buddy, even if I suspect most will take their talking from others in the same position. It's on the FAQ, 4th from the bottom.

I'm willing to bet players could come up with cool stuff from that, like their wife leaving them or something.

Yes this is a good distinction and perhaps I am being oversensitive in that regard.

And then he had the balls to be like "If you have a problem with this course feel free to also send me an anonymous email or write a note and slip it under my door" as he was standing there in front of the email he just got finished publicly ridiculing.

Yes his handling of crit was much more troubling than the initial incident that prompted me to email him. He was just such an asshole standing there. Part of my mentioned that i sent it anonymously because of fear of retribution and he stood there smugly and said "If you have feedback, you can do what this student did and send an anonymous email, no problem. Don't worry about retribution"

Because publicly ridiculing the email is NOT retribution...
