I've just started reading this series, and I love the two characters we've got at a_facility. I've heard from a few friends that characters tend to change drastically in this series, and from current canon points apping in a few of them might get you an experience you didn't exactly count on if you aren't caught up.

If we have a Harry (End of Changes) and a Molly (Before Changes I believe was her canon point?) would it be a bad idea for me to app in a Thomas from earlier canon point? I'm hoping for at least some positive CR with the cast, and if he doesn't work out, I might test Michael or somebody else.

Also while I'm here I want to plug a_fac for any DF roleplayers out there, it's a fantastic game and we have two great characters. I'd love to see a cast start building.

Where are you in the series? Because Thomas goes through some drastic changes (ha) and if you're not so far in I'd hate to spoil you or get you spoiled. Generally I think it's a good idea to finish the series before you RP from it just because of the developments, but it's really up to whether you're comfortable not knowing some stuff yet.

What's the comm link? I'm too lazy to find it on my phone but I've been looking for good DF-friendly games for a while.

As the anon above me said, it depends heavily on precisely which canonpoint you want to take Thomas from. For example, I'd say Thomas of book 3 is vastly different from Thomas of book 6, or even Thomas of book 9 or 11. But he is an incredibly fun character to play, so good luck to you!
