nathan is a character who is first presented to the viewer as male

wears lipstick and a lot of pink, but still distinctly looks male and is presented as male

all the characters refer to nathan as male

ergo the viewer is led into the assumption that nathan is a very flamboyant cis male

i've never watched tiger & bunny that much just the first few episodes but that was the impression of them that i got

ergo, if the series did the same thing with a female character - presenting them to the viewer as female, just a very butch one, all the characters referring to them as female

they were saying that if that character had used a male pronoun for themself, that anon's reaction would be different than nathan using a female pronoun

Drag queens do it too. Nathan's a big, fabulous queen. I can't see him as trans, and I don't think he's intended to be.
