rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Wow sorry about the asshole above though I can't tell if they even play in the game. Also sorry that no one bothered to actually answer your questions.

As someone who's been in this game for a long time, I can say that the posting pace is medium depending on what's going on. When there's a lull the game is obviously pretty slow, but when plots happen things do pick up a fair bit and I would expect some activity going on. Luckily there are several backtag-friendly players who are also very welcoming to newcomers.

Atarax is a survival-horror game, not a slice-of-life game. People complained that it was when there wasn't constant nightmare fuel going on early on, but it has its unsettling moments and the atmosphere of the Tranquility in general has a bleak and desolate feel (think Pandorum if you've ever seen that). Don't expect plots to be handed to you by the mods or monthly events where EVERYONE IS SUDDENLY ANIMALS or anything like that. Ax is based on a more grim, realistic concept on how plots are triggered. Player plots are also strongly encouraged. If you're feeling bored and what to do something with your character, you're more likely to be better off asking around or throwing your character into posts and open logs than waiting for CR to come to you. Be proactive and it almost always pays off in the long haul.
