rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.
Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. (Anonymous) 2013-01-14 02:35 am (UTC)(link)As for past versions of characters, I think the main thing is to be open to characters recognizing them and having expectations. Another thing to consider is if you're planning to play the character consistently for a decent amount of time. For whatever reason, there's quite a few characters in the game that have constantly been picked up and dropped by many players in quick succession, and that can lead to a general reluctance to play with that character since playing out the same "OMG YOU'RE BACK! ... Oh... you don't remember..." reactions and subsequent re-acquainting CR over and over can get really old, especially if people aren't sure your version of the character is even going to stick around.
