This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Hello, anon!

Here are some tips:

• Get your villain integrated into the game before they do their first villainous act like murder, bombing, or what have you. Manipulating people or seeming creepy is fine, but it's important that when they really unfurl their villainy in public, it means something. If you just do something evil right away people will think "who is this character and why should we care?"
  
• Communicate! Always check with people before you do anything to their characters and with mods before doing any events. Make yourself approachable and be open to the fact that sometimes the answer will be "No". That won't mean you'll never be able to do anything.
  
• Also remember that heroes are player characters too. Sometimes, they deserve a win. Only you will know what you'd consider a good In Character Consequence that will keep your villain playable, of course, but don't make them unconquerable in the long run. In this same vein you deserve a win too sometimes so if you want your villain to get away with something, make it clear to people! A victory that the heroes have to work harder for can be sweeter. Just make sure people understand that you are not unwilling to have your character taken down at some point down the line.
  
• Don't get discouraged. It can be harder to play a bad guy than a good guy at times, because you have to keep a certain level of villainy going and have to stay proactive. In many games, events might cater to good guys but not bad ones, don't be discouraged by that either. With some creativity you can find your niche.
  

Those are the tips that spring immediately to mind. I can answer any other questions you might, have, too! I don't think I am an expert on villain RP but I honestly love playing bad guys so I might be able to help.
