saber or assassin, for obvious reasons. lancer was a possibility except for the long-range preference

sadly i can't app him as an assaberin, punny as that would be

hm, i can see how berserker would fit at some points, but those are extreme situations. for the majority of the time, i'd see gintoki as a saber. maybe caster if you want to mess with him and get permission to drag in gedoumaru as some kind of summon, but that's a little weird/cruel
