Are we talking about the same death knight here? The same guy who's best friends with the guy who killed him, in canon?

Or the part where he, like any PC DK, is not actually under the Lich King's control anymore? Their life is pain and suffering, yeah, but freed DKs aren't necessarily killing machines, just because they have killed before.
