Because it's never just one Homestuck, once one gets in there will be a Homestuck flood that takes over the game with typing quirks and trolling obnoxiousness. Amat's experience with big casts is mostly that they set up what amounts to their own subgame inside the game where they expect to be able to make up their own rules, have the game changed to suit them and have a say in how things work and I don't want to see it repeat.

Because a lot of the Homestuck casts I've seen around have been extremely cliquish and insular but totally inescapable because they post constantly on the in-game networks to each other.

Because like another anon mentioned most of the characters are stereotyped out to the extremes and make it their mission to annoy people.

Because a lot of the most commonly played characters are 13 and it skeeves me having characters that young running around in a sex game. Even if their bodies are aged up their minds aren't. I can handle a couple of younger characters running around if they're played maturely, but a whole bunch of them being loud and obnoxious and 13 at everyone? YUCK.

Sorry anon, you might be a decent player and Rose in particular might not be the type to get in everyone's face, but if you don't think that once one Homestuck character reserved there wouldn't be a whole page of them you must not play with people from your own fandom.

I understand being annoyed by cast invasions but I would point out that the invasion you're talking about wouldn't be able to happen any time in the foreseeable future.

As was discussed last time this came up, the only characters who are conceivably appable at this stage are John and Rose, because as per the rules on appable characters, only Acts One and Two have been published (Dave gets more of an airing in Act Two I think but I'd be wary to say he'd be appable from what's published so far).

Once Act Five gets published? Yeah, we might see the sort of invasion you're worried about. Until then? I'm not sure it can be used as an argument here.

(Now the stuff about not wanting 13 year olds who act 13? I can get behind that. I personally wouldn't want to app any of the beta kids until they could come from one of the later intermissions but that's going to be a while off yet)
