As it's coming along, it is going to be a bit shipping-focused, or at least CR-focused - heart meters and rewards for reaching certain levels with other characters will be a thing, and so far they're going to be key in the plot, that and I'm going to include some of the familiar "shippy" festivals. But I'm also working hard at planning it in a way that the spirit of a Harvest Moon, comes across if one of the somewhat shippier ones, which means giving farming a central role!

So far, I'm planning on encouraging it from the start via the Harvest Sprites - they'll have gathered in patches of land on the outskirts of the town or edges of the wilderness to work growing crops in tribute to the Harvest Goddess, and will offer that land to PCs to work as farms in her honor. In gratitude, they'll offer to build them basic homes and furnishings and anything else they might need to get started. Over time, not only will they be free to sell most of anything they produce for a living, working the Goddess's honor will have her dealing them other rewards as they hit milestones (for example, the day a character announces they've started to plant an orchard or tamed a more exotic livestock animal they found in the woods). I'm hoping for certain festivals and events to also provide a greater or different payoff for characters who farm or have CR with characters who do.
