rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I actually considered that, but decided that while it'd be cool in theory, it really wouldn't work out well in actual gameplay. Either it'd cut down drastically on the CR available to the adult characters (and I'd probably have to institute a cap on how many could be in play, to keep them from overrunning the game when the focus is meant to be on the kids, which would cut it down even more), or everyone would want their characters to be the ones who realized something's not right, and the division would exist on paper, but not in actual play.

That said, I probably would offer people a chance to play the pirates during pirate-based events, and let them be twisted versions of adult castmates from the characters' canons (or dead-on versions, for canons where the villainous grown-ups trope is in play).

Or possibly twisted grown-up versions of the actual characters in the game, because why the hell not.

As someone who wound up playing an adult authority figure in a game that was primarily teens, I'd say you're wise not to app in adult characters unless you as a mod enforced any authority or power they were supposed to have. All of us who volunteered to take on those roles got royally shafted, and it's something I would never agree to do again.

I'm not actually sure where you're getting adult authority figures from. The only adults would be the adversaries, in keeping with the Neverland theme, and would be NPCs. (Either player-NPCs or mod NPCs, depending on the event.)
