I'm rather happy that things have died down. You can see who's genuinely invested in sticking it out with their characters rather than apping because it's the new shiny.

me too. I've settled into some very nice PSLs with people I enjoyed on memes who have stuck around. It's nice. Though I'll be back on memes again for the next wave to try out new partners and see who else I can find.

I'm interested in reading more of Pixie's canon. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Pixie's a good character in that she really isn't in much and her appearances are pretty localized (aka basically a lot of miniseries/spinoff books and Uncanny X-Men.) She's a bad character in that because she's so minor, most of her appearances are of varied quality.

New Mutants/New X-Men: She doesn't really come into play until #37, the start of the Quest for Magik arc, but it's a good series and I like the rest of the kids so read it anyway. Plus, you get to see all the shit that they put those kids through and wonder why she doesn't come out traumatized. The Quest for Magik arc also explains how she got her powers.

X-Men Pixie Strikes Back mini: This one is weird. It effectively explains Pixie's origin story, so that's good. But the writing takes a while to get used to and the art is effectively love it or hate it. The fact that 95% of the story is a hallucination may take a while to get used to also. Still, I suggest you read it because of her origin and because it just uses some of the X-Girls that I love.

X-Men Hellbound mini: Pixie goes back to hell to rescue Illyana (no I don't know why either.) It's pretty decent writing. Honestly, it's take it or leave it, but I liked it and it's only three issues so you can't go wrong with that.

Don't read the Fraction/Land run on Uncanny X-Men that she's in because 1) Greg Land art and 2) it's just BAD writing. Fraction is one of those writers who is either super good (Hawkeye) or supremely shit (UXM). The plotlines are dumb, Pixie's characterization is iffy, and there's Greg Land pornface every other panel.
