Random idea brought about by lack of sleep & bemusement at how "The_Citadel" isn't a mass effect related game despite the name. Then I realized putting a game on Omega'd be more fun than having one on the Citadel so this blurb was born.

So what, are people getting barfed out somewhere in the galactic core and then taken through the Omega 4 relay and dropped off at Omega?

I had thought about blaming the mass relay system in some way, so that would be plausible. My only concern was that adding anything off that rock might end up with people complaining the game world was too large.

I'd wanted to play with the whole damn galaxy, but then everything would get spread out and people'd probably complain. I know how that works.

"This game relies on the extranet too much" is definitely a complaint I could see cropping up. Not my fault that the setting comes complete with fancy "magic" communicators.

please flesh this out somehow. i'd fucking kill for this setting. especially if it somehow becomes action/thriller based. anything but slice of life.

If I didn't already know that I'm flakier than a grand biscuit as a mod I so would. As a DR I might be able to handle ot or a even as a general open box, but that's probably the extent of my ability.

There's so much conflict potential in a setting like this. Gang conflicts, vigilantes going after the gangs, gangs extorting civilians, probably a few I'm missing, and then over it all Aria as a plot device trying to rule over everyone because that's what she does. Omega's hers damn it and you'll fall into line or else.

write up a mock up? ideas, brainstorm! but give it to someone else to execute? even throw down like the first 6 months of events for them to generally go off of? :C

Or inspire someone else to mod it and then I can just chip ideas and stuff into their hat like that down there. Who knows anon, maybe this is something that'll happen yet.

If you have any ideas I can't speak for them, but I'd be up for hearing them.

...make that definitely. i have most of the faq & rules pages written up, but i can't run everything solo and would need help - at least one list mod and one plot mod.

op, if you have ideas for events or the plot i'm all ears. i can run with whatever you have for an outline.

Okay, that out of the way... I don't actually have a lot planned out. Since this is literally something that I spent time mulling over while I attempted to sleep and failed at it.

I did have a few ideas though, largely about the formation of various political and gang related groups or how such groups could be founded by players. Mass Effect: Deception might have sucked, but it was okay as a way to get ideas. Information Broker as a viable job choice for characters? Perhaps.

There's just a lot of things that can be done with this sort of setting and a lot of things to consider (like if Cerberus would have much of a presence on Omega). Possible events could span from random wars/fights to "surprise virus/disease!" among other things.

I'm also mostly decent at being a list mod, just throwing that out there.

No worries! I am pretty set on making this happen, so I will take any and all thoughts you have, and I love everything you've got so far.
