I never said that. I just know, of a ton of other games on LJ and DW, C&C is kind of known for problem players who don't listen to HMDs. I'm not asking about other games, I'm just going "wtf is it with C&C and these people"

It seems that a lot of the people that can't take crit invite similar friends to the game and it just multiplies from there.

uh, if someone's bad characterization affects your character, or if someone's being godmoddy or a raging douche and won't listen when you crit them on it, then it's a problem.

admittedly, some people that come here and say shit about it are just being asshole wankers about it, and that's bullshit too. But in general it's a problem.

Have you ever tried to play with a horrendously OOC castmate who refused to accept crit? It can really make playing your own character not much fun at all when there's no IC way for you to ignore them or explain the character's bizarre behavior.

but really it isn't just cnc, all other games i've been in have had the same people. i mean, the snape player is in 3 other games, so those 3 other games at least have this issue now too if she ever does hmds/gets crit there.

murder will only do an hmd if she's going to get her asspatted. if there's even a whiff of dissent she'll refuse to post and plurk about how no one knows her characters better than she does and how dare anyone try to tell her how to play them.

idk about ataraxion or bn, but the last time she posted to cnc it was right after she joined and she didn't actually reply or take into consideration any of the crit given to her, even though all of it was very polite and thoughtfully worded.

The players mentioned above both play in other games as well, not just C&C. Maybe it's just the fact that they overlap here?

Fuck no. Some people just aren't comfortable with the whole public game wide HMD thing or can't participate for one reason or another. Seems stupid to say that people can anon because they're uncomfortable logging in but force everyone else into public stuff like that.

It's not you guys, the ones willing to give crit, that I'm talking about. It's the ones who are refusing to listen to it. And yes, it happens in every game, but it just feels like such a huge freaking issue in C&C. That's what I'm WTFing.
