rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

fucking hate genderbends.

Eh, I like genderbends if they're still obviously the same character at the core and the mun know what the fuck they're doing. But that's sadly a huge minority.

My problem is that nobody uses genderbends to examine and explore the gender roles of the character's world. They just do it because lol boobs

I love doing this, and loathe the "Lol boobs". And I hate not knowing how, in memes (Especially ones without opening comments, just icon posts) to let people know I'm the former, not the later.

I have plenty in my user info, but I don't really expect a lot of people to go read a strangers whole app.

yeah, if the player really, really knows their stuff, then it can probably turn out okay. but all of my experiences have been so shitty.

i love smart AUs that explore psychology and how actions effect personality, and i so would absolutely love to see a rule 63 character that isn't just an ooc nightmare with boobs or a dick. anyone got recs on someone to stalk to change my mind a bit?

Most of the genderswaps at

queenofheartsrp are good, and from what I know, if you like Kingdom Hearts, their DR has a few 'swaps and they've managed to steer clear of stupid fandom. Also good AUs, but that's something else entirely.

i think there is a time and place for 'lol boobs', but not in an au where the character has always been female

I only play genderbends that provide a lot of psychology re:'how gender roles may have affected them' to play with.

Admittedly I have ten times more fun researching and writing far too much tl;dr on this than actually playing them.
