I'm pretty much certain they'll dismiss anything I have to say unless I log in, and I'm uncomfortable with that, considering how poorly Murder reacted when the mods dared ask her for revisions on her applications.

Deets on the app drama?

as much as i can remember, basically the mods asked her for revisions on snape and she flipped her shit about it, i can't remember if it was on the app page or not, but i believe it was pretty public and pretty embarrassing and put offing. later on, she posted in hmd and someone brought it up amongst other issues and she explained how she wants to be a writer and snape is very important to her and being questioned like that set her off.

she got revisions on her snape app and the app for the turtle, and suddenly my plurkline was filled with her bitching and moaning about how the mods didn't know what they were talking about, how she was a WRITER!!!! and knew what she was talking about and how she shouldn't have to revise anything because her apps were PERFECT!!!!! as they were.

and it got increasinly bitcy and aggressive until they finally accepted her. i think a couple people tried to point out areas of her apps that might have been a little shaky (personality sections and history sections, for instance) and she was so outright rude to them that they all backed out of her plurk.

wash, rinse, repeat for everytime the mods asked for any kind of clarification from her.

Yes! I remember poor Arielle trying to give her pointers and just being bitched out by Murder.

Her Snape app was declined because it was filled with unsubstantiated head canon and very little canon fact. No revisions, flat out declined. She threw a tantrum on plurk and bitched about how the mods treated her. Several people were put off by the way she bad mouthed the mods, but idk if anyone went to them about it.

She reapped the next cycle and was accepted.

Almost the exact same scenario happened with her Raphael app a couple months before that.

inb4 whitenight, but in my experience with Grimm she has seemed to act professionally and courteously when given comments. I'd be much more worried about lashing out from Murder than from Grimm.

Grimm is fine if the criticism pertains to her, but loses her head a lot more easily if it's about Ty. I can get being protective since they're involved. That's fine. But Ty's a big kid and should fight his own battles.

Hi, guys.

I appreciate the commentary about my courtesy when faced with criticisms. That's kind of actually really pleasing to hear, as it can be difficult sometimes for anyone to adjust to the idea of taking advice or answering questions from others, and I try my best to make sure that people feel comfortable coming to me with any concerns they have regarding my playing. Even if we can't agree, we can at least respectfully agree to disagree.

(While we're here, and discussing that, I would like to make the reminder that anyone with crit, happy comments, or questions is welcome to hit up the HMDs on my character journals -- I'm pretty sure I remembered to make them for their new accounts on DW; I'll double-check later tonight.)

Regarding Ty, I feel that he is able to fight his own battles, and he is free to do so in any manner he chooses, be that explanations or letting things slide off of his back. I would not jump on anyone for replying to his HMD or leaving him concrit somewhere; his characters are his to play, and his to handle. I am aware that the plurk I made the other day was a little too cranky for what could be considered kosher, but it was my own choice to make it, and I let my terrible day at work that day color my judgment that night. I do feel reassured by the brief conversations that were held within it, and I appreciate everyone that took the time out to comment.

While I admit that seeing Ty get namedropped the way he had been was the final straw for that day, and prompted me to finally make that Plurk and have a tiny vent about all the things I had been feeling -- which I feel is a valid emotional response to seeing someone I love hurt -- I had been watching the C&C threads in the last few RPAC posts and was very upset with the way a number of people were being treated over the last few days, whether I knew them well or not. I have never enjoyed seeing events like this tear at the community, and I do feel that there are more constructive ways to handle problems and hash things out, even here on RPAC. That we seemed to do well for a short while after the initial burst and then resumed not long after was incredibly disappointing.

I appreciate the chance to say this here, and that both of you anons have been kind and level-headed, and in the future I will try harder to keep a better check on how I word myself in response to what happens here.

There are several things I'd like to discuss with Murder in regards to her playing, but as the others have pointed out, she doesn't participate in HMD in any capacity. She doesn't allow anyone to question her playing via other posts or PMs either. She claims to hate anons, but if you attempt to give her feedback logged in, she will pitch a fit and try to start wank (I'm sure others witnessed her extremely PA plurk about someone who approached her a couple months back).

tl;dr no hmd, can't crit her. and even if she had one, she'd start wank and ignore it anyway.

and since people will ask for deets on the plurk thing, she gave roxanne a new power that could be insanely godmoddy so she made a permission post but instead of it being an opt in permission post she made it an opt out. someone pointed out, logged in and politely enough, that maybe doing the reverse of that would be better since not everyone was going to use her permission post and it would be weird to have this power used against you without permission. she then went to plurk, where this person that critted her is on her plurk list, and made a very passive aggressive post about this suggestion the person had made, and went so far to say something childish like, "I was going to put roxanne in VillainCon but I guess I won't NOW."

so, yeah. I have my issues with her I would like to bring up as well, but her behavior makes me want to just not bother.
