I really love the girls from these series, primarily. And although I love the pairings they're all in, I feel I wouldn't be able to play any, save for perhaps Nice, without having a potential other half of her canon pairing come in and take over her CR.

I was thinking Celty, Chane and Ennis were my best bets to app to avoid this surprisingly. In canon, they all have strong, developed relationships outside of their primarily romantic ones, of which they love and care for just as much. So it makes sense that in RP they'd form the same. I just don't know if I could play it out in RP as well unless I made sure I was a lone canon warrior or at least didn't have a pairing there

And don't get me wrong I really ship all of the canon pairings like whoa! Well in Baccano. CeltyShinra not as much.

I know I will end up playing one of the guys instead and I am disappoint in myself.

i actually wanted to play lua somewhere and not have a ladd until I developed proper CR outside of him, even if it's my OTP.

talk to a potential apper about this?
Or if somebody comes in as the canon half of your OTP, tell them it's no hard feelings, but you'd rather focus on other CR first before you do anything romantic?

i honestly wanted to wait for games where either firo or claire paired up with someone in-game, so I could bring in either of their girlfriends and have them develop independently. but I

a.) didn't want to potentially freak out players and have them think I wanted to start drama because, hth, last thing i wanna do or care about

and b.) don't have the confidence to play them like i would lua.

I OTP all of these too, it's something i can relate to you on. currently apping celty in hopes of doing this right now. The canons give these ladies plenty of development outside of their "men", but fandom tends to not pay much attention to it, so I feel an urge to play it out. Just talk to castmates, they almost always will understand, even if they get bummed! and Y A Y for Narita girls C:!! Good luck anon

i have played or would like to play most of the men you've talked about and yes i would LOVE this. playing my canon OTPs as in-game failures, awkward longing, all of that stuff. do want. especially if my guy feels like a moron for screwing up and has no idea how to interact with said girl after things are ruined but can't stop feeling unresolved or caring or loving.

yeah basically

some of us would be totally ok with this??? and even love it. so go for it. and sure maybe i'd eventually love to get them together but i would be able to live if it didn't happen.

Same here. I love everything this discussion chooses to be and wish I could play out an alternative take on any of my favorite canon pairings, that only outside forces of RP could bring along.

Hi. Chane player here who has ALWAYS wanted to play out the friendships she has with women in the series, since they are everywhere in the novels and barely there in the anime. She'd be the best lady!Knight for Lua, seriously. :) Unknowingly helping Ladd by keeping his girlfriend safe and alive for him.

Ironically enough, as someone who has played and plays Claire, I feel you on this. Since Claire in canon is so obsessed with Chane, that is, it was hard to tear him apart from her when I first played him, so I went looking for places to be a lone-canon warrior so I could develop him properly. Er, do things properly.

I think you should definitely pick up one of these girls somewhere and not have to worry about potential appers. It's actually pretty difficult to pull together a cast unless you know people and enable them. But it happens, and you can always talk to anyone who voices interest in apping a love-interest, which was already suggested up there.

I'd love to see the girls anywhere in RP, honestly. I hope you're able to play one one day!

mte... I love chanexclaire and after any individual or separate development, I'd always have slight preference for them to be together, but this seems like the best idea until i can enable people once i feel i've given a girl enough CR. we'll see, i don't know if i would even pull it off haha

With Chane it's kind of hard since it'd depend on her canon point, but I think you can definitely pull it off as long as you try! I noticed that in games people like to latch onto quiet girls, anyway. Good luck!! And I hope one day you can ship her with Claire, my otp 8(
