rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I like our Homestuck muns and even Homestuck characters, but I'm starting to think that they're living up to the predictions people make about them, naturally cliquey and stuff... what do others think?

I've enjoyed them so far but I'd like to see them branch out and they're not nearly as cliquey as the Kingdom Hearts cast/muns or the Supernatural cast/muns.

Well, SPN and KH casts are effing huge, while I'm pretty sure the Homestuck cast is fairly small compared to how many characters there are.

Also true. I like our Homestuck cast because it's smaller than the relatively other large casts in the game. But I size doesn't excuse cliquishness.

It doesn't, but as someone who's been in a huge cast? Especially one where it's IC for your characters to interact or know a lot about the other people in the cast? It's very hard to keep up with the cast and get outside CR, especially since there's always a lot going on with the cast. So it's not so much cliquishness so much as, "Holy shit, stop doing everything at once, can I get some room to breathe?"

Knowing the muns in the cast, they aren't going to branch out. They're notoriously cliquey people.

Sadly, my experience with a few people in that cast in other games forces me to agree. Nice people, good at their characters... terrible RPers when it comes to tagging others not in their clique.
