Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. It doesn't look like DW can handle 5,000 comment entries at the moment so please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. We don't need several threads soliciting photo evidence of body parts, and we already know that we only care about yaoi. Failure to comply will only result in deletions and butthurt. "People may notice site slowdown/cache error pages. We're working on fixing. You can help: finish posts at 3k comments, not 5k or more." - Dreamwidth@Twitter

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.

in terms of actual content, .flow has at least fifteen metric fucktons of more nightmare fuel, which includes but is not limited to gore, body horror, incredibly disturbing imagery, and a lot creepier music. there are lots of vids on youtube if you're curious! the primary difference, though, is that where yume nikki takes place in dreams, .flow takes place over the internet, so to speak--a network of sorts. i think .flow would be more suited to an actual game than yume nikki because dream logistics are much more difficult to work out as opposed to network logistics, and there would be a lot more horror potential. this would definitely not be a slice-of-life game—it really couldn't be.

whelp, i'm sold. actually i'd really like to play it, and obviously i should.
as i mentioned before, i don't know what kind of modly, if any, skills i possess, but i can do mundane tasks like updating lists, and judging apps shouldn't be too hard if you need something like that. but i'm a little shitty at policing people, most likely.

Yes, good. Everyone should play .flow! Even if one isn't a fan of horror, there are so many creative, interesting elements to the game that are in fact totally innocent. It does have something for everyone, I think.

And that's perfectly fine, anon! Any and all help is appreciated. I myself am actually better at overseeing players and everything than updating lists and doing all that administrative work, although I'd be more than willing to do it if no one else stepped up to the plate. In any case, if you're interested, please feel free to pm this journal!
