Why has our thread been so dead these last few memes?

nothing against him as far as as being ic goes but i don't think i've ever seen a more overhyped character

I like the fact that they're being active in the game. It's clear the mun is enjoy herself.

If you're upset that they're "taking over" maybe you should be more active and do something with your character instead of just sitting around and complaining. They are active players who are just trying to have fun. And, Howard looks like he's really getting a lot of CR and talking to a lot of people.

I always wonder why people put down people for being active. When they aren't active is what should annoy people than being active.

plenty of other people are just as active, have been here way longer, and attempt larger plots but get little to no reception and not even half the cr because their characters aren't as popular

that's not stark-mun's fault but it's annoying to see so many people fawning over him already, just like any other flavor-of-the-month people latch onto

Can you tell me one of these plots? I can think of Asura's insanity plot. I didn't want to be part of it cause I found it boring, since I've seen it done before. Yes, it was a larger scale, but I've seen it done over and over.

Also, this new plot with Howard in it doesn't just have Marvel. It has Applejack, Tsunade, Allen, Lithuania, Sasha, Shikamaru, etc. Yeah, that looks like only Marvel and DC to me.

I always forget how big our Homestuck cast is because I never see them do anything outside their cast. I know, bringing up old wank, but it's true. The older ones tag around more, but some of the newer ones like Kanaya and Feferi (who isn't new, I know, but it's been awhile) never do anything outside their cast, it seems.

I would love to be proven wrong. Please show me them tagging outside their cast or tell me how their plotting with someone. I have nothing against their playing. It's more just, this isn't a musebox. If you only want to play with other people from your canon, then a game like this isn't for you.

I'm ready for the hate I'm about to get for bringing this up because I'm such an awful person, the take-it-to-the-HMD, and all of that. But again, please prove me wrong. Show me that they're active outside their cast, cause that's what I want to hear. I just don't see it.

Kanaya-mun here (haven't moved any of my icons over yet, oops). I'm aware that my activity outside of my cast has been pretty awful and in general I haven't tagged with Kanaya as much as I'd like, but I did have to go in for unexpected surgery in January and then had a lot of catching up to do with school, as well as having another character with a pretty big, demanding arc going on right now.

Unfortunately, keeping up with the Homestuck cast has been my priority with her right now (because big casts are hard to keep up with as it is) and school plus this other plot are still kicking my ass so I'm kind of taking this "free activity check" as an opportunity to get everything else straightened up, but by the time we move to DW one of my big goals is to reach outside of the cast more with her.

and feferi-mun here as well \o\ honestly mine has less to do with being active outside the cast and more to do with being active in general. Most of my solid CR right now are castmates, Eddie, Sasha and Alessa. And by castmates I really mean Eridan, Sollux, John and Equius.

I honestly just don't have the time for fac that I used to have. I'm modding at a game that has over 200 characters and I have rl stuff I need to pay attention to on top of that. I'm not going to be able to really go other there and build a lot of cr and keep up with it all like I used to do. Does that mean I should drop even if I make activity check? I don't know, maybe it does. I enjoy being in fac though, and I'd never be against new cr, like I said, it's just time constraints.

I really hope my inactivity isn't being used against my castmates here. They have to hear this stuff over and over, it gets kind of annoying and disheartening tbh. I have seen Eridan, Sollux, Equius and John all over the place, which is impressive given Eridan and Sollux's personalities and way they deal with people. So if the issue is with me more than them please don't drag the rest of the cast into it \o\

Well. Feferi has out of cast cr really strong with yukina and riku and is actually really good at tagging outside, just she's inactive. i think kanaya is also on the less active side of things right now, but i assume it's just cause she's new. our eridan has really good cr with lucas and patchouli. tavros is also really new and on hiatus. vriska is close to maka and um.. jeez i dunno i dun follow colin enough either but he is just as active out of cast. gamzee is. also pretty knew but had some really cool joker cr and has cr with the supes i think? and yeah. thats all the people in game right now besides me. and lol, i know you aren't trying to say i don't tag outside the cast so.

anyway, hope i helped clear this up for you

Sup! Jade-mun here. Personally, Jade is pretty good friends with Lucas, Ramona, Wallace and Todd from the Scott Pilgrim cast; I'll admit that some of that is left over CR from the previous Jade. But I like to think that they've moved beyond that. She's also good friends with Ritsuka, and has met Soubi at least once or twice. She draws pictures with 6, plays go fish and plans glitter bombs with Gabriel, and chills with Hit Girl (they make clothing too!)

This month hasn't been so good for me, outside of cast-wise (most because I was out of the country and then school started again and I ran right into theater stuff), but I guess if you wanted to see solid proof instead of just me sprouting words, you could check last month's AC and the one before that?

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like the game is only for certain types of characters anymore. The plots used to inspire a lot of excitement from me, but now a lot of people I would tag with are idle and most of the comm is dominated by certain groups/chars. I wonder if I should quit. I just feel like an outsider.

I feel like this too, anon. It's not the game I apped into anymore and this makes me sad. I'm also not talking about the recent plot changes, they were all cool, but the game has become so focused on certain groups/characters that it's just not interesting for me anymore. I feel like I've been pushed out and now I'm just so diconnected from the game. I'll be writing up my drop post soon :(

Yes that's just how I feel. I know someone is thinking, well you should just tag those people etc. The thing is, I do tag around, and I have no real cast to speak of, so that's my only option. Which is fine. But though I do tag those groups/chars, they're all just passing conversations. I'm not building any meaningful CR. Not like I used to. Now I'm just tagging to pass activity. Like you said, it's just a feeling of being disconnected. I'm not sure how much longer I'll stick around, either.
