rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Likely better in some ways since it's not gender specific. A shirtless man or guy in leather pants is fanservice as much as a titty shot is.

Exactly! It makes no indication of who the fan is, only that the creators included it for the sake of catering to that fan.

and no, shirtless men don't automatically count, because a lot of the time they're there to show power and further add to the male power fantasy. sure, it has the fringe benefit of sometimes appealing to women, but that's not the main reason it's there.

like the shirtless scene in captain america after steve is brought out of the experimentation tube and he's giant. women may like seeing chris evans shirtless, but the real purpose of the shot is to show everyone LOOK HOW MACHO AND CUT HE IS NOW.

outside of shoujo manga, romcoms, and shows on the cw, female-oriented fanservice that is actually meant for fanservice is slim pickings.
