Help me obi-wan anons!

Anyone have advice for helping a cast branch out their cr? I just apped into a cast that is very friendly (with me, anyway?) but has a reputation for being insular. I know "be the change you want to see" is probably the best answer, but if anyone has other suggestions?

what kind of insular are they? do they only tag each other? do they tag back when other people tag them?

They'll tag if someone tags them, but they tend to do a lot of plotting only among the cast and don't open up much to the rest of the game.

best thing i know of is for each of them to get significant cr with a few characters not in the plot. then they can make miniplots including castmates with those characters. soon it'll spread.

get as much significant out-of-cast cr as your character can handle

try to integrate those characters with your cast. introduce them to the other cast members, bring them along to parties, don't give your cast members an easy way to escape tagging them but at the same time try not to be obnoxious about it...basically treat the out-of-cast characters like your new boyfriend you're trying to introduce to your friends. you want them to meet and get along.

then as plots go on be like "oh hey, my dude is in good with this other guy, he can help with this plot" or "my girl has found that she works really well with this other character, maybe they can tag along" or something. just roll with the flow.
