I've talked about Kanaya with other people before and I'd never seen that interpretation until you talked about it. Neither of us seeing these interpretations or a lack of them makes us right on this, because they're still interpretations and not canon fact.

You having that interpretation and not being contradicted on that before is not the issue here, you saying that it is for sure canon when it isn't confirmed is. For other Eridan players it might be bad for them to go into a cast and assume that their Kanaya player has the same interpretation of events, imagine how awkward that would be for an Eridan player to come in and have him mention an old relationship at some point that another player doesn't even think happened. If both that Eridan and Kanaya player agree on that that's cool, but saying an Eridan player should automatically assume that is not.

I would also advise not to use Kanaya's helpful behavior as a basis for saying that she was for sure in a relationship with Eridan and Vriska. You can say that her helping others out in canon is just helping without it turning into a relationship. One of the biggest things that would potentially keep her out of that relationship at any point in time is that trolls don't seem to accept having their partner in more than one relationship readily and Kanaya was already in a quadrant with Vriska. And her keeping Vriska from doing things with both Eridan and Tavros could be seen as more of her doing things from a moirail perspective than an auspistical one. She has to keep Vriska out of trouble with everyone and make sure she's not hurting anybody, that's her job as a moirail, it doesn't automatically mean that she was mediating in a way that's appropriate for another quadrant.

Again, you can interpret Kanaya as having been in that quadrant anyway, it's an interpretation I'd disagree with, but that's okay as long as everyone else who is involved with that point in playing has the same interpretation as you do.

This is still not something you want to tell Eridan players it's okay to assume though. For that matter you don't want players of other characters to automatically assume this without talking to their fellow players either.
