rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 5,000. "One of our biggest load problems is entries that have a high number of comments -- loading those entries causes a big hit -- and we've been seeing an increase in the number of entries with lots of comments lately. i disagree. the only anime, video game, book, movie, etc. characters that can't get cr are played by people who only tag characters from the same medium or if you barely tag and only do open logs. almost all of the "unpopular" anime and game characters who have never tagged into any of my posts (from any character i've had over the years) and if i've tagged them, nothing has come from it even with effort. so i stopped.

you also have to take into consideration that a lot of comic/live action people have a very difficult time figuring out the age of those characters and then have a hard time figuring out how to tag appropriately because of it. it might seem obvious to you, but it's not to them.

1. don't tag every new post on the network. that's annoying for ANYONE, especially if you don't have time to tag back all of them if, say, they were all online at once? focus on a few posts to begin with.

2. i've found people who tag around a bit first BEFORE doing their intro tend to do better. it also can help make for a unique intro that isn't just WHERE AM I/HOW DO I GET HOME/IS THIS THE FUTURE.

3. contact people whose characters you're getting along with, ask for a log or something!

if you are proactive and really want to fit in, you will. everyone has their niche if they try in this game.
