AUs, genderbends, and OCs I don't really have any opinion on. There wouldn't need to be many adult characters, so I think it'd be unnecessary hassle to put caps or attempt to regulate that.For instance, if there isn't a player character teaching a subject, it's just assumed NPC until someone takes the slot.

I would suggest the school be set in America or England. Anywhere else and it gets a little difficult with players not knowing the culture. I love the idea of a nearby town/city.

Also seconding that this doesn't seem like the sort of game that has any point for powers. You say the altered memories thing like it'd be solely for characters from different eras and whoooa, I am not for that. Most games have characters from different time periods adjusting to modern times and don't alter memories. It'd be awkward to alter that sort of thing? Unless it's across the board, everyone's memories are altered to think they're a school kid. I'd be fine with that. Alternately, maybe it's just an AU game? IDK.

TEACHER/STUDENT, YES. Fuck, if you are going to make and mod this, please have the balls to allow teacher/student and let minors screw. There aren't any legal problems with it on DW and it's a m/m school romance. That means eventually underage characters will have sex and possibly even try to have sex with the teachers. Don't try to censor it, please. You can make IC rules against it if they get caught, that's fine. Most schools wouldn't be thrilled to find students having sex and certainly not if it's with a teacher, but don't OOCly ban it. If you're going to ban it, don't bother making the game.

I don't have any preferences for how the game is modded. I've seen a variety of things work. I think the apps should be quality, I don't care what length. I prefer public apps, it lets people see who is apping and what kind of things the mods are looking for. There should definitely be an activity check every month, I've never seen anything else work without a ton of squatters.
