So I know about the games based on FF8 and FF13-2, but I would love to see one based on Spira, 9's Gaia or 7's Gaia because I fucking adore those worlds, too. I'm guessing at least one of those has been made in the past (I vaguely remember a Midgar one) and just never panned out or something but oh god I'd join a new one so fast.

Not posting this in the game ideas thread since I don't really have any clear ideas past "THIS SETTING GUYS" but I'm wondering if anyone else has the same interest.

Otherwise, which worlds would you like to see? What kind of gameplay elements would you like to see integrated? That kinda thing.

I actually have a vague idea of a game set during ffx2. With people being sphere hunters or involved in political drama or getting used to life without Sin. Even doing fiend hunting! But i figure it for an AU. Not sure if there would be interest though :(

I've always just wanted a setting in Spira anyway, but there has to be something to do. Can't just run around and...run around. Keeps things interesting when the world is in the middle of fighting itself. Plus the political aspect drew me in (I really enjoyed that about FFX-2 tbh), and I figured it could possibly work.

I work on outlining the game and stuff in my spare time - I mentioned it on a post a while ago and I know people were interested in dress spheres. (Which everyone could totally have - they could just buy them or something from Rin's network of Inns and etc!)

I started one, but it died before opening because of lack of interest, and my bad modding skills. I'd totally try to start again if I have enough interest and help.

That seriously sucks, anon. I'm sorry; I've had a few games die on me due to lack of interest and it's never a fun feeling. I'd be willing to help you out anyway I can if you do decide to reboot, though! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for sure. o/

Really? That sounds awesome. I need a few weeks to sort things out for school, but after that I can start. I have everything written, I just have to polish it up, and do some stuff with the coding.

OC or panfandom, I don't care. I just want to play and send my characters on missions. Ivalice is my favorite world.

But only if it's Tactics or FFTA2 style. Not interested in one heavily based in FFXII.

My only experience with Ivalice is FFXII's, so maybe we could find a happy medium that encompasses parts of all the games? I'd be totally okay with that.

They're actually pretty easy to mesh together, the only thing though is that clans work differently. Instead of everyone going on hunts by themselves, they go in groups, because it's a tactical game. It's not just hunts, either there's also "search for X," or "give me Y," or "impersonate me, because I'm dating six women at the same time," some of them do get rather silly. It's also really easy to mesh them geographically, put FFXII's map to the right, and FFTA2's to the left, insert Rozzaria in the middle, and there's endless hours of fun.

I just like playing around with the crystals. Aprigen had a set up I thought was interesting because of that, even if other parts didn't seem very right for Final Fantasy to me. (I think it was hybrid with a kind of Alice in Wonderland type of theme too.)

I ran a Spira game. It died when my RL stalker joined, but otherwise good times.

First thing I always want to see: PANFANDOM. These games always seem to be FF only, sometimes FF/KH (not even the specific FF the world's set in, just general FF...).

VII verse: I have always wanted one with a political plot that DIDN'T depend on whoever was playing Reeve. There's a whole world to make up locations or governments for! And if the Compilation has taught us anything it's that you can blame everything and its estranged mom, dog and pal who works at the local materia shop on Shinra/the Jenova experiments. I think this is a really easy world to come up with some awesome plots for. Hell I'd even just go for a game where everyone is stuck in Deepground and has to work their way through various experiments and plot to get to the outside world.

idk, I think the fact that Shinra/Jenova experiments are already used for so much is what kind of kills it for me. If the plot relied on Jenova, I'd want to see a some clever writing in how it was used or how someone got a piece of it again.

Political plays sound interesting though, and especially in a post-Shinra world I can imagine other factions trying to rise up.
