Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 5,000. "One of our biggest load problems is entries that have a high number of comments -- loading those entries causes a big hit -- and we've been seeing an increase in the number of entries with lots of comments lately. If even a few high-traffic journals or communities started opening new posts when comments reached 2000 or 2500 instead of letting the post run until it hit the maximum number of comments, it would definitely help." - DW_News

So, mods and former mods: what is the best way to advertise your game in this day and RP age? Besides word-of-mouth, I mean. Like, is rpanons a good spot to advertise? Or RP!S? As for word-of-mouth, what makes people talk about your game more?

Make your plurk account public temporarily (or whatever), plurk about the game and ask people to replurk it. That's how word spread about Asgard and some other super popular games before they opened.

It might not work as well in that case, but it couldn't hurt to give it a shot anyway. Otherwise, the standard rpanons, rps and atp are your best bets.

Public plurks and roleplaysecrets were our main ones, but I did comment with the mod account on anoncomm in the working stages as subtle publicity.

Nowadays, I think the plurk, RP!S, and ATP are you three best bets in terms of getting a wider playerbase, along with the game ads here. And, if you want to cover a wider scope of RPers, you could use fandom comms or the RP ads.
