Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 2,000 - 2,500 comments. "One of our biggest load problems is entries that have a high number of comments -- loading those entries causes a big hit -- and we've been seeing an increase in the number of entries with lots of comments lately. If even a few high-traffic journals or communities started opening new posts when comments reached 2000 or 2500 instead of letting the post run until it hit the maximum number of comments, it would definitely help." - DW_News

Re: KATAWA SHOUJO
(Anonymous) 2012-02-06 03:33 am (UTC)(link)Like I said up there, my problem comes in when people make jokes about people being incapable of things they're capable of. Humor is fine by me, sometimes it's the only way of dealing with a shitty situation, and it's not like I've never made a joke at my own expense. It's just... before you make a joke, ask yourself "does this joke actually make any sense? Or is it just dumb "people with disabilities are all incapable of functioning in society" shit?" The latter is a bit of an exaggeration for this particular joke, but it still inspired similar feelings in me.
I'm rambling a bit, but you understand what I'm trying to say here, right? I've got no intention of becoming some sort of guardhound, ever vigilant for the slightest inaccuracy in a portrayal. I just expect a bit of tact.
