a game this small and slow shouldn't be so hard to play in.

I think the biggest problem I have is that the majority of characters there seem to be very shut into their owns casts. Or so it appears. I don't know anything about Marvel or DC but the posts the comics characters make don't feel very open to anyone outside of the people that they already know, which makes it hard to tag them and get more CR going with them.

The game is small, so I can see why it's easy to just stick to your group of people, but I think it could really benefit from either constructing events that forced people out of their little boxes, or just having more people in general.

I think that sounds like a really good idea, anon. I know I'd love some events that allowed for more random CR. I got some in the 80s plot but I would like more opportunities for it.

I've had some benefit in just tagging anything I can with new non-comic characters that's helped, but I'd love more plots that forced people out of their boxes.

Have you tried hitting up some of the posts on the main comm right now? Just scrolling through there are two open invitations to everyone for get togethers, an open invitation to get involved in the overarching mod plot, and Jan's post introducing herself to the community. These were all made by comics characters and most of the replies were from comics characters only. Tagging around definitely helps. Maybe hit up some of the open logs? There are a couple in the logs comm now too with characters just looking for someone to talk to, etc.

You are right and some people definitely can afford to get out of their usual circles. I think it's going to have to be effort from everyone involved.

this is a problem the game has had since it opened and a reason many people have ended up dropping. if it hasn't changed by now i don't see it changing in the future.
