hmmm, this kind of thing can be really hard to narrow down in terms of premise/plot/location. it depends on what players want: horror, slice-of-life, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. obviously any of them will focus on romance, but you gotta take in consideration the overarching genre.

like, if you want a slice-of-life game, there's the school au option, with a town that has a boarding school for high school students and/or maybe a private college somewhere nearby.

for fantasy, it could be an Arthurian setting with wizards, warlocks, elves, etc. fight for your prince charming, go off on an adventure together, fall in love, buttfuck, other fun stuff.

i'm just trying to brainstorm on the spot i'm not really committed to this myself. maybe some talk about game settings/genres can get things rolling...? like, what game settings do you think work for a romance game?

i would kill for some fairytale m/m romance

a setting made up from all the old fairy tales and a wicked witch causing the events which put the characters into all the tales. liberally sprinkle in more plot.

tbh I don't think there even needs to be an overarching plot, let's just set some dudes in a resort or school or whatever the goddamn hell and see what happens.

Yes. I want a DWRP version of one of those weird, ridiculous boarding school BL video games. You could even have some bizarro creepy/weird/occult/supernatural shenanigans going on in the background for people who want more plot.

Please consider:

- Let people de-age characters to school age
- Allow for AU characters maybe
- Allow honest-to-god teacher/student romances for once, no school games ever seem to
