I think Tarrlok is the son of Yakone. In the flashbacks of the trial, it looks as is Yakone is bloodbending everyone in the room, but when his eyes go wide, it means someone is bloodbending him. That someone is Katara. Also note how Tarrlok and Yakone share similar facial features. This is the theory I believe in, anyway.

No idea yet who Amon could be but they aren't the same person. I believe Amon has yellow eyes, not blue.

My only problem with this theory is how is Yakone bloodbending? He's not in any bending stance and his hands are cuffed. You have to assume SOME kind of form when doing heavy bending like that.

I personally like the theory that the Red Monsoons is a waterbending gang who specializes in bloodbending and Yakone was their leader, similar to Lightning Bolt Zolt. So the Red Monsoons burst on in, bloodbend the courtroom and Yakone is smirking because help has arrived.

Yes! I agree that he's getting help from someone (I can easily see him as the leader of a gang of bloodbenders) and is not doing the actual bending himself during the trial. He definitely seemed confident that they would come to his aid.
