rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I think I must have come off as if I were putting down people for playing submissive characters, I didn't mean for that. The problem isn't, I think, when people play submissive types, just when they don't really participate in the scene beyond putting down very limited reactions. If all a character is doing is adding a moaning soundtrack or thinking about how good it feels, though, I think people might want to consider figuring out how to add more to the scene.

I didn't think you came across as putting down submissives, just lazy people who don't contribute much to threads, which as we've seen in past threads here are an endemic problem in this place.

Oh, no, I didn't think you were! Just that you wondered why people do it and that's literally the only reason I ever thought people had for just throwing their characters at any dominant character. Like, I always figured the ones people complain about are just people who do this who are bad rpers, while the people who do this but are actually good at giving back don't get mentioned or called out for it because they're actually playing so who gives a shit.

...If that makes sense, I should have been in bed hours ago. I wasn't going on the defensive or anything, just saying why I think there are so many players like that.
