I've been really thinking of apping here, but it makes me nervous to jump in blind. Could anyone tell me about the game? Pacing, plots (overall and what's going on right now), idk, anything!

Pacing is pretty slow... it's a small game, and one day in-game is several days IRL. We're currently trying to clear up some of our backtagging issues, so this day and the next are going to be a week long.

My honest advice is, poke around. If you like what you see/have ideas as to how a character you're looking to app might work into plots, contact the players involved. Everyone's very friendly, and looking to get new people involved in the game.

I've played here for a while and I like it. The pacing is slow but there tends to be a lot of little plots going on at any one time. Right now the two biggest plots running are an expedition that's traveling outside the city and a player plotted raid of a corporate facility, but there are a few other minor and backdated things going on too.

Seconding what the other anon said to check out the daybreak posts to get a general idea of what's been going down in the game.

Everyone I've dealt with in the game is friendly and I haven't had any trouble with plotting. Obscure canons and lone canon warriors do pretty well here I've noticed.

If you're interested anon, the mods just started up a static group chat yesterday, and anyone who's interested in joining is welcome to come meet folks, ask questions, etc. We'd be happy to meet you.

(Just going to add, I'm also quite happy there. It is on the slow side, but we have some really amazing characters and players so it's actually the only game I play at because it meets my needs so well.)

It's really hard to get into as far as introing your character goes, even for someone who's usually pretty good at diving into the deep end of games. From what little I experienced though everyone was really nice and welcoming and the mods were really great. There's so much info available and a lot to work with.

It might help if you already know someone there or befriend an existing player who can help lay out what's immediately relevant for your character, depending on what kind of character you app. It's almost like all the information is great, but it can be a bit of information overload if you're trying to figure out where to start.

I would still recommend it though.
