The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I would, but I hear Lyan takes crit really badly, so I didn't bother.

Only if it's not legit crit. Constantly hounding someone and telling them to drop isn't exactly what I'd call constructive. Try to word it well and come off as helpful and I bet you won't have any issues at all.

She's gotten a lot of hateful comments in her personal HMDs before, so I don't blame her for being wary.

Is that what happened? I just heard that she put up a plurk for asspats after someone left anon crit on her HMD, but if that's the case then I'll take a stab at leaving her some feedback.

do, just be polite. I saw the plurk and while I'm normally wary of stuff like this, what the anon said wasn't crit. It was basically "you're dragging this cast down you should just drop, you suck". That's not crit, that's someone being an asshole.

yeah, brand new anon seconding that, she received anon messages across multiple character journals over a few months that she unscreened, and all of them only said "you suck, your cast hates you, drop" and her casts came to her defense. it was hateful and she handled it very well and was incredibly patient with someone who was obviously just a troll.

another anon saying that yes, that's exactly what happened. Some troll spammed her HMD with hateful comments that were not crit in any way and she took time to try and understand where they're coming from even though it was obvious they did it for the trolling. If you are polite and not offensive she will receive it just fine.

Yeah, Lyan will handle it well, but just wait for Cas-mun to claim it's all in the critiquer's heads.

well anon asked about Lyan's reaction to HMD because of her reaction to trolling that might have come off as hateful towards crit. I don't know Cas-mun well but it's worth a shot even getting explanation from one side of the ship, if not two.

The Castiel needs crit on how to talk to people. One of the rudest people I've ever met.
