As some of the other anons have pointed out, this is a much more reasonable number than it looks. The tags aren't prose for one, which helps; it's entirely possible to post once a month and get all your activity right then and there. Also, consider three other games in the same subculture/genre of RP:

Aather: 15 comments every week, adding up to about 60/month for each character. If you RP two characters there you're already over the 100/month that EC has, with the added catch of being out every single week if you don't want to get dinged on activity. Honestly, I have more problems with activity checks like this because it doesn't give me much room for off weeks or deep threading.

Thusia: A flat 60/month per character, with up to 5 characters before AC rules change slightly. Easier than Aather due to the lack of weekly constraints I mentioned

CFUD: Also a flat 60/month per character, with monthly apps (apps on the above two games are more standard rolling acceptances).

In comparison, EC is 100/month - but you only have one character. For a significant majority of people who play there, this is still smaller than their activity requirements at their other games in the same subculture. And honestly, I think this number is easy to get, especially if your team is active or you have a solid cast. My only, only reservation is that it can be difficult to get started if your team isn't strong already due to the fact that you a) start in your dorm and b) there's not really an easy IC way to drop in on intros until the character ICly ventures out.

tl;dr version: it's really not as bad as it looks! It is, in fact, completely normal within the subset of RPers that this game was initially advertised to.
