Like I said, a lot of headcanon, ha. I make her a general monster hunter, agent of mercenary justice, a bit of a hedonist and sadist, but generally a good person with a huge case of wanderlust. I use some of the original PC98 version to influence me, which she was more confident and sadistic/open in, and not just the Windows remakes.

I just throw her around and see what sticks and what doesn't. I find giving her a terribly cheesy sense of humor about everything has helped, too. It's like any other character with very minimal canon, you have to work through it. It just so happens this one is from a canon with 99% fucking and action as opposed to much else, so it's harder to work with, but I do get a kick out of playing her now and again.

Ha, don't worry about it, I just happened to be there the second my email notifier going "check this thread" went off is all.

And yeah, as skeevy as they are, if you just let yourself enjoy them, they can be a pretty fun time waster. Certainly better than a lot of eroge of the PC98/X68K era and even nowadays. I mean, when the genre is swamped with bad mahjong games, it's not hard to do, but I still found them strangely likable. Not every game has a (mostly) lesbian swordswoman theme, and I'll gladly take what I can get of that.

I'll be chucking her around more and more memes as I get reacquainted with playing her, so hopefully you can run into me someday! Dunno if I'll ever app her again anywhere, and if I did I'd want it to be a completely ridiculous environment for her, but she'll definitely be around. She's fun to play and oddly refreshing compared to my usual cast of stoics.

That's actually why I even *know* her canon, I'm a complete fangirl for the last two words. I've RPed Hazuki from Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito (who is a lesbian swordswoman from a HGame as well, though she thankfully only has a small role in it and never is "gotten" by the protagonist)

I'll look forward to randomly finding her in a meme! Just don't dominate abuse poor Hazuki, Hazuki's just stoic, not a bad person!

Haha, there's not much to check out, Hazuki's very much a side character. Oddly, the anime made her the heroine, probably because she was more popular than the actual main :P

But yeah, you're right, it's how I should handle things, I'm just always worried about what I play, I've had some pretty bad experiences with people being all angryface about lesbian characters haha.

Oh, Valis, ha, good choice, even with her odd history. I'll definitely add that show/game to my list though if only to see this girl because I'm nothing if not predictable.

Actually, I pretty much just play lesbians or implied lesbians right now, and nobody's gotten mad at me. Could be because I am one too, but I know plenty who aren't who play them with no issue. Anyone who looks down on it can shoo, we're all having fun here, no harm no foul.

Oh, I'm one too, I've just made some pretty bad experiences indeed, but then the corner of LJ RP that I had been in wasn't the best overall, that's for sure.

I've mostly been bouncing around recently anyway, checking out games, but I'm not too lucky with them, they usually tend to falter and die, since I tend to pick smaller, slow-paced ones. I'm an euro, fast paced games were a bit tough to handle. ^^

And yeah. Valis X. Either hilarious, sad, or both depending on your sense of humor. It cracks me up it's an official product. I kind of want to play but but can't find it anywhere so eh. Only seen screencaps, it seems vaguely Raidy-ish. If nothing else it'd make for a silly night.
