rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Concerns?

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

A majority of people who play from this series generally seem to play really well and compellingly among one another, but ask them to play and engage in a panfandom setting and suddenly they clam up and fail at producing anything interesting beyond interacting with their cast.

Hilariously, the ones who seem to defy this pattern are Riku players, who canonically only gives a fuck about his friends and avoids making meaningful friendships on other worlds.

So what gives, Kingdom Hearts people? This game should be a snap in lending itself to crossover!

With close connected and large casts for any series, this is a huge issue. When I play in a small cast, I found that everyone tags around and enjoys out of canon cr. When I'm in a large cast, it's easy to be swept by what the group wants. Peer pressure or even just excitement being infectious. It also doesn't help that a number of large casts decide to make their own private community for plotting.

Personally, I tend to have more cr with those outside of my cast, no matter the size of the group.

I have plenty of CR outside my cast. But I am part of a huge cast, and that can, honestly, be draining, so I know it can seem like I don't have much CR outside because I'll be involved in lots of cast plots by virtue of who I play.

It's not that I don't want to. It's that I often don't have the energy to be proactive as I want to be.

What? People do this? I love my cross-canon CR and it's at the point where they're honorary castmates at this point.

Kind of shocked to hear that. I actually do better with characters from other fandoms than I do with castmates.
