paradisa is slice of life half the time, random events the other half of the time -- ie, in early June there's a Mirrormask plot. It's set in a magic castle, so it's v. flexible. It also has an IC network.

Castmates wise, there's Desmond, Shaun, Altair, Ezio and Cristina.

am I the only one who doesn't think this is a bad thing? believe it or not, there are characters and castmates that can really screw things up for others if they are apped.

if it were only bc certain characters might screw things up for a character already in the game (which i still think is kind of bullshit but whatever) that would be one thing but, i've seen people pressuring someone not to app a character bc one of their friends was possibly planning on apping the same character (and spoilers, the friend never even fucking apped, so nobody ended up playing the character)-- it happened on irc, in the cast chan in front of like 20 people, not even like privately in PMs.

It does look an awful lot like part of Mayfield's thread.

i was thinking about reserving here until i saw a bunch of homestucks on reserve, along with the same mcu loki that already plays in several other games. disappointing. but, i like the premise, so i'll wait it out.

Lol anon, they're *reserves*, there's no guarantee they'll all actually *app*, let alone get in. Besides, there's only, what, six reserves total right now? If you like the premise enough to 'wait it out', why let people stop you from reserving? It's exactly zero commitment for you and it might attract more of the kinds of characters you want in the game.

I didn't expect such a massive thread about it. But I think by default people assume it to be a softer sound, and I don't see anything wrong with that.

I second all of this. I'd also felt Gokudera would ICly stick to having sex with his close friends, especially since he has a Tsuna and Yamamoto there and he's a canon loner with a certain shyness about sex. Then I discovered the same burdens you speak of and deviations from the fun of the game/reasons for some great CR and character development.

So I've had him go through some IC adjustments to his mode of thinking and it's actually been a really fun process! He doesn't need to be 'easy' but it also means he can sleep with someone if he strikes up some chemistry.

yup. It's a bit hard for me to get used to it still since I truthfully can't see Mello ever going around sleeping with people; not that he is shy, it's just he is. wellp, not interested in people?

And I really do want to keep everything IC, but I have to think: if Mello won't be sleep around, why did I join in first place? That's why I'm also doing IC adjustments and figured out a plausible reason for him to do it.

You can't read either. The player said they didn't want rescues. First two responses are rescues.

The quote contrasts it with his "upbeat" depiction at the end of the game, so I don't think it was about being aloof.

That's nice, but here's why people tend to assume that the complainers we get here are usually grudge wankers. In general the people who complain about the players in our game don't use personal HMDs or the game wide HMD. If someone isn't interested in critiquing another person on an HMD of some form they're usually going to be perceived as a wanker, and in particular a grudge wanker, because they're actually just interested in just stirring shit up instead of actually helping the player get better like a non-wanker would like. This isn't always true (I've even had anons on ACJ give me very good critique when I asked for it), but it's fairly common. On top of that we've had grudge wankers before who will say anything about players just to get a rise out of people.

So, C&C players tend to think that we're being grudge wanked on because we've had that happen a lot.

Also, in this particular instance I imagine (though I am not sure) that some people think that this wank in particular is grudge wank because one anon in particular has made it very clear that they don't actually read the game and see what we're actually doing as a cast. If they had read everything and made it clear they knew what was going on and still had a problem with that and brought forward critique based on that then there'd probably not be the response that there is right now.

I'm still giving anon the benefit of the doubt and seeing if they just typed in heard instead of read or something else like that, if they did not and they're just making a poor decision to critique people on nothing but hearsay alone I'll ignore them. But, I'll also give other anons the chance to approach me with critique. I'm still going to stand by what I said in my earlier statement though for critique specifically regarding drama and darkness.

I guess what I'd like to hear about the most is his balance between being wacky and being serious, and knowing when the latter is necessary.
