This was me when I first apped a certain character. Couldn't focus on the game so much with them because they didn't have a lot of close castmates and I got bored with the threads they were having. So, I dropped. I apped them again and tried to get more involved in the game, got a little help from my friends, and hey, it worked out.

Still getting into the series but I couldn't help myself.

Alright, I'm just going to start this off with a couple characters, Negative Nancys be damned.

de_bel_survivor is someone who I don't think I see very often on these things, but one of my characters has wonderful CR with them and I really enjoy threading with them.

skaterbrain is also wonderful CR, but on top of that they never fail to make me crack up with every single thread of theirs I read.

juuust because someone is gay (or bisexual!) does not mean they are not heroic warriors with good old fashioned pride! js.

With the second season coming EVER CLOSER, I've been keeping my eyes out. Anyone worth looking for specifically, either in memes or games?

I remember that game! I stalked it for a while since I was interested in it back then as well but yeah. There were a bunch of reasons it didn't work out that well I think. Personally speaking, from what I remember of AU games I've been in before and have stalked before it's kind of a case-by-case basis depending on how the management is handled.

If I remember right there were a few people throwing out suggestions about an Avatar based game about 1 or 2 posts ago? I don't know if it's jamjar or AU, though. If you were to choose between those two then I think you would probably get more interest in Avatar especially with Korra airing right now. An Avatar based AU game would be fun but it also depends on what you would plan to do with the storyline and so forth.

An Avatar based game would be awesome, though. Actually I would just love to see an AU game again in general.

Oh man, I hadn't thought about it before, but if you wanted to play a follower, you'd pretty much have to play all five classes, both sexes, with that follower the whole time, to get their complete characterization...

Anon, give it up already. No matter how hard you try, this wank isn't going to happen. No one gives enough of a shit.

I'd say that we're by and large friendly to new (or rejoining people), the game is medium-fast to fast-fast (edging on fast-fast at the moment), but you cannot expect CR to be handed to you. We're not opposed to some heavy plotting, but if you want specific CR with somebody, you have to be willing to take the first step, either through tagging them or talking to the player OOC. People also aren't purposefully distant, I just think there's a healthy respect for privacy in the game, so a lot of times people won't want to "bug" a new person OOCly too early on. By which I mean, they might not private plurk/IM/otherwise contact you until they know your tolerance for it. I know I generally wait til I see somebody appear on like, 5 other people in game's plurks before I go and add them, for example. But I don't know, maybe that's a me-thing and I'm projecting.

Being open to criticism is a big deal in the game as well. Not that we run around nitpicking everyone, but the players that have had the most trouble in the game are generally those who have had a negative attitude regarding criticism. If you keep an open mind, and are willing to discuss issues people might have with you/your character though, I don't think you'll have a problem.
