Jews in general don't actively seek out converts. Islam is such a feared minority in these parts (the West) that any attempt at spreading the religion would likely be labeled extremism or terrorism despite the fact that most Muslims, as with Christians, are actually peaceful, decent people. If you were in the Middle East, however, you'd have plenty of conservative Muslims telling you you're going to hell. Or you'd be killed for being an infidel, depending on where you are.

Maybe you could have a small little form for people to fill out to go with their initial tag that tells a bit about their character.

Like maybe a simple name, canon, a blurb about the character, and then a blurb of what types of characters they may be attracted to.

For instance, my character is not very trusting or sociable. He'd definitely not go well with someone like himself, but would be more drawn to someone who is his opposite.
