I RPed with a range of 14 to 20+ year olds while I was a minor and nobody gave a flying fuck. These days it's just keep your mouth shut and people still don't give a flying fuck.

I usually lose interest in the character and if I do end up picking them up again it's usually a long time down the road.

Sometimes it's because I ended up falling too far behind in the game, though. In that case a canon review usually does the trick and I app them somewhere else or reapp after a break.

And before I get wailed on for disappointing everyone ever I do my best to avoid castmates for precisely this reason. Not that I'll drive them off but I normally don't app into casts.

I can typically play a character 1-6 months fine, but after about a half year, it just starts dragging and games become way too much. If it's a character I still enjoy I can musebox with them, but actual games? Nein.

A week. Intro'd, got a first post up, watched other posts, realized the entire game's CR is related to or played out by one cast, with the cross-canon CR being mainly done by friends of the muns of said cast.

nah, I get the sentiment. I'm just a little sad because I found someone playing a rare canon and they dropped a week later and the account has been inactive for about a month.

nobody speaks up about it as much only because the drama back then didn't make the games closing down, and also if you haven't noticed most newer sex games now make the sex-or-die component optional

also the reason so many people get antsy about rape plots getting shoved in people's faces in regular games is probably because there are a significant number of rape survivors in RP

I don't think it should be too hard to figure out why they'd get upset over insensitive assholes using rape or the threat of rape as a vehicle to get their precious snowflake the entire game's attention

at least sex games are separate spaces that are upfront about being friendly to rape kink so people who are uncomfortable about that can safely avoid those games

it's not something people expect to have to deal with in regular games so yes they will get upset when it's presented in a way that the entire game is forced to respond to, regardless of whether the post itself is properly labeled

i'm confused when anons talk about how conservative dwrp is. are you on the same site as i am? i can't think of a single game where even slightly homophobic comments would be tolerated, but rpanons talks about their games cheering about the north carolina decision. where on dw is this acceptable?
