i would absolutely buy one of my blorbo if it existed since he has literally no official merch at all.
that said, i do think the non-human pops look okay. like they still look worse than 97% of the rest of the merch for those characters, but at least they're visually distinctive instead of having the exact same head, body, eyes, proportions etc. as every other figure like the human characters.
honestly, they look like something you'd buy a very young collector who can't yet be trusted to take care of higher-end collectibles, but they really want something of their favorite character, so you just buy them one of these damn things. that way if it gets trashed, it's no huge loss.
