Re: GENERAL DWRP QUESTIONS

i'm definitely the first type of tagger, sometimes even to the point where i feel like i put too much stuff in my tags, but i'm working on it, because i feel like if i put too much dialogue/action in my tag, i'm kind of locking my rp partner into replying a certain way; like, if i put 5 sentences of dialogue in my tag, then some action, then more dialogue, then that is assuming the other character won't interrupt, or nothing will happen that would prevent the second batch of dialogue from happening, or whatever. obviously if the other person really wants to have their character interrupt, they can do that anyway, but i don't want to make that feel weird or anything, so i try to not go on for too long without leaving a clear place for their character to do something if they want to.

another thing: sometimes when you write a ton of dialogue, you end up with like two or more threads of conversation happening in parallel almost, where answering dialogue point by point kinda breaks it up in a way that isn't super realistic, and this bothers me a little when i end up doing it, so i try to make it so that i wouldn't force my rp partner to address three or more points in one tag. two seems fine, but 3+ feels like a bit much.

also sometimes when i'm writing a tag i get to a place where i could write more but i'm already kind of tired of writing this specific tag, or i run out of writing juice or whatever, so if it feels meaty enough i just end it there.
