i don't think anyone said that though. if i'm wrong feel free to correct me, but from what i've seen, everyone myself included has been saying that it's been years since this person was relevant or in this space, and yet they're brought up a lot as some sort of example, which in itself appears to be an excuse to be transphobic. not that their behavior should be excused at all or wasn't relevant.
