Yep it comes with such heavy triggers that chances are like 50% (at a small amount estimation) of your CR won't want to react to it. But if you do it, it makes it such a major part of your character's current canon that them ignoring it entirely can come off as being OOC or unable to deepen CR while avoiding the topic. It's just not a good idea in a game. Too many variables.

I'd definitely distance myself from someone who did it in a game, and I wouldn't judge them for it, it's just a huge no from me personally so removing myself from the situation is best. And that sucks for both of us if we have deep CR, but it is what it is.
