Re: RP WOES

I'm wanting to see if anyone can explain how this is any different from anything that already exists.

Running a game for a few months isn't useful to a new player who wants to see if the game is a good fit for them, because you could have great cr and be earning points left and right, but someone else might not have the same experience. Since the mechanic is an AC reward and mod controlled, how could they know?

There have been numerous games with cr bonds as a significant mechanic and this sounds exactly the same but with the mods assigning point values to relationships and cr, turning something you could control yourself into one the mods have to hand out to people. It creates a bottleneck where people have to wait for the mods to give them something instead of creating a mechanic that players can pick up and use themselves with or without direct oversight and input from the mods.

If you don't like people asking questions like this, you're going to hate it when you make an interest check and people tell you your mechanic isn't unique to your setting or they ask how you're planning to keep it going without the mods absolutely burning out in three months in this climate where modding is even more thankless and soul sucking than it's ever been before.
