One of the problems I have with doing PSLs/memes is that I can sometimes go weeks/months without getting a tag or seeing that account pop up in a meme again.
With memes, it's hard to get invested in a thing because the other player might not want any continuity. And I can go forever without seeing a familiar account again. Also, a lot of players view meme threads as quick, disposable fun, not meant for long-term play or even worth responding to after it's three or four days old.
With PSLs, I'm constantly on the backburner. Not saying I should be a priority, but it can be a little frustrating when they're gushing over all of the RP they're doing while your thread's gathering cobwebs and, just when you've given up, they tag and apologize for not getting to things earlier because wrong headspace/too busy/thought they'd tagged already/whatever. It'd be easier if they'd just tell me they weren't interested rather than constant.
