trying to set up scenes with people is absolute agony. i play a popular character and should be grateful for getting any traction at all, but i stg every reply i get is enthusiastic but so, so empty. "i want to do all the things!" means less than nothing at this point.
how can so many people post that they're desperately seeking a specific character, yet when i approach they have no concrete ideas what they want their character and mine to do? ok, whatever. i offer a few options for plots, and then they repeat that they want to do "all the things!" this back and forth slowly leads to me whittling down the expansiveness of "all the things!" to a something workable, which also means i'm the one who does the starter. ok again.
but because this other shmuck didn't communicate their desires with any more effort than someone pointing at a mcdonalds menu and grunting, it's not exactly the starter they imagined, so they sit on it for a week and a half while they try and digest the perfect reply.
